Stay in the loop
Are you interested in finding a place to show your work in Berlin? Or join our community within ROOTED? Sign up for updates here!
ROOTED is our internal program for workshops, webinars and festivals.
Our ROOTED series is designed to bridge the gap between international artists and Berlin's local vibrant Arts’ scene, empowering creatives to navigate critical challenges in a foreign landscape while meeting the diverse needs of our local community.
Ever think about taking a workshop to assist with recovery after an injury? or learn more about neuromuscular disorders with professional body practitioners? Maybe you've been thinking about applying for funding and need some expert budget advice or copywriting assistance? Or you're thinking about entering and staying in the German scene, have some new work you want to present in an approachable festival setting? Whatever it may be, we've designed a diverse collection of workshops to suit you, because we don't believe in gatekeeping.
What's Next?
A two day event, taking place on the 6th and 7th of December 2024 at Acker Stadt Palast.
Apricot Productions invites Berlin creatives to submit their multidisciplinary pitches, works in progress and trial workshop ideas for an upcoming recurring performative series- Rooted: Pitch & Perform.
The series will take place every three months and will be initiated by an invitation for an open call to the community.
Per usual, we will get down to the nitty gritty and prepare the production, marketing, press and documentation for these two evenings. Each artist selected will be featured in our social channels, newsletter and website leading up to the event.
The idea?
Create a cozy and non judgemental atmospheric space where local artists can foster a community amongst one another while we simultaneously invite programmers, curators and journalists to the evenings with the intention of creating opportunities for their work and voice to be presented in the future.
Please submit your application until the 15th of October- selected participants will be announced on the 1st of November.
Apricot Productions is a non funded entity or institution that offers a platform as a community driven effort to bring artists together in unity. The payment for these events reflect that concept. We offer photo + video documentation and technical support as a co-production with the intention of artists’ using those resources to fulfil future touring and performance opportunities.
